—Brighton Publishing LLC proudly announces the signing of Cherie Rashel for her latest work, “Truly Hidden.” Sounding the clarion call for adventure fans, author Cherie Rashel fashions a whirlwind quest with fast-moving scenes and a plot capable of landing a solid punch. Truly Hidden is scheduled for eBook release in late-2013 and will be available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other leading retailers nationwide. When a child goes missing in an African diamond mine, one man puts his life at risk to save the endangered child. Afterward, Nicholas Armstrong is rewarded by the child’s grateful mother with two incredibly rare and exceedingly valuable diamonds.

Armstrong soon reveals this precious secret to his only grandchild and heir, nine-year-old Peter.

Years later, Peter receives notice of his grandfather’s death along with a package containing five seemingly innocuous items—a pocket watch, rosary beads, a wedding ring, a small prayer book, and…his grandfather’s staff—along with a reminder to visit a contact at the Huntington Museum.

But, it appears that someone else knows about the diamonds…

Rachel, a brilliant artisan, soon finds herself aiding Peter in his attempt to hide the diamonds from prying eyes. Unfortunately, though, Rachel is kidnapped and held hostage by an evil man who will stop at nothing in his efforts to steal the precious jewels.

Peter must think quickly and act fast, or…Rachel’s life may be forfeit.

“Author Cherie Rashel crafts an exceptional story filled with plausible characters, brilliantly designed scenes, and a forceful plot of satisfying intensity,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “Inspired by classic action tales like Campbell Black’s, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Truly Hidden relates to audiences of all genres—a great summertime read!”

Author Cherie Rashel was born and raised in Wisconsin, near the scenic beauty of Lake Michigan. She is married to her college sweetheart, and they have two sons who are actively involved in the family business. She has always enjoyed gardening and has a small lemon and grapefruit tree in her kitchen full of edible fruit, but her real joy comes from writing. For Ms. Rashel, nothing quite compares to the authentic smile of a pleasantly surprised reader.

Truly Hidden is her first published novel.
